About this piece
Mia hangs from a bail of ten diamonds. The small pavé line of 0.064 carat in total leads from the chain down to the glass sphere of 8 millimetres, where a brilliant of 0.07 carat floats. Up close the bail sparkles, from a distance the sphere glows. Mia is finer than Catarina and lighter than Afrodite, a pendant for the middle ground between everyday and occasion.
The glass comes in white, black or brown. Yellow gold with white glass is a warm point of light at the throat, white gold with black glass a small sculpture. Mia is often given for a first milestone birthday, for a passed exam, or as a thank-you that should not be loud.
The glass sphere is made by hand in Austria, in a patented process that encloses the diamond while the glass is formed. Bail and pavé are crafted by a goldsmith manufactory in India, in 14 or 18 carat white, yellow or rose gold or in platinum. Every piece is delivered with a numbered certificate, insured and duty paid.
