Some pieces are worn. Some change a room.
For a private salon a question arose that is rarely asked of jewellery: how does the piece work when nobody wears it? As an interior object the diamond in glass follows a logic of its own. It accompanies a room and must hold up when looked at on its own.
In the room
A place on the console
The answer was a marble console. There the piece needs no vitrine and no plinth. In a small space it sets the point towards which the furnishing runs.
The effect
A focal point in the room
A detail like this stands for taste. It orders the room around it and stays small enough to be picked up. When an evening calls for it, it is worn again.
